With all this talk about our economic forecast for the next year, for many business owners it’s easy to feel worried about how that might impact their businesses. For me, when I worry about something I take it as a sign that there is something that needs my attention.
So rather than trying “not to worry” I just approach it with curiosity to see what I need to look at more closely.
But once I identify what that area is, I don’t hold on to the energy of “worrying”. At that point it is not useful anymore. Rather I focus on what can I do about the area that I worry about.
If you find yourself worried about what 2023 is going to look like my suggestion would be to face it head on and come up with a plan of attack.
In the past (let’s say pre-pandemic) you could grow with the economy. You didn’t necessarily need your "A" game when you have the wind at your back. This is especially true for booming cities like Denver. Unfortunately, those favorable conditions are over. When the economy constricts, you need every advantage you can find.
For me personally I have found that being part of a business growth community can be a key factor for success for business owners and professionals. By networking with other business owners and discussing important business topics, you can continue to grow your business, even when things might be a little tougher.
So what is a Business Growth Community?
A Business Growth Community is basically a group of business owners who come together to brainstorm, share ideas, and help each other grow. The benefits of joining one can be huge. Here are just a few:
You'll get access to valuable information and advice. Members of a business growth community typically have a variety of skills and knowledge that they can share with one another. This can help you learn new things, find new opportunities, and solve problems.
You'll have a support system of fellow entrepreneurs who understand what you're going through.
You'll be able to bounce ideas off of others and get feedback from people who might have unique insight into the problem you are trying to solve or opportunity you are embarking on.
You'll make new connections and friendships with other entrepreneurs. The contacts you make by being part of a business growth community can be helpful in growing your network anywhere from introductions to new clients, referrals to potential employees, or strategic partners.
Another great benefit of being part of a business growth community is that it provides business owners with support and accountability, where they usually don’t have it. Many business owners don’t have anyone to report to. When it comes to certain key areas of business, like growth activities, it’s great to have a group of people who are rooting for you and want to see you succeed. They will hold you accountable to your goals and help keep you on track.
If you are looking for a group of professionals to share these benefits with, I invite you to check out our Network in Action Groups in Denver. It’s the perfect mix of mastermind group, business networking group and referral group. And last but not least we have a lot of fun supporting each other.
